Overview

As a Claims Specialist at Davies North America, you will manage Employment Practices Liability claims, navigating complex legal issues and ensuring proper resolution of disputes.

In Short

  • Negotiate and settle Employee Practice Liability claims.
  • Prepare written status and reports for clients.
  • Interpret routine and complex policy contracts.
  • Attend mediations and settlement conferences virtually.
  • Direct defense counsel to settle litigated claims.
  • Evaluate and resolve claims effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
  • Maintain various responsibilities under critical deadlines.
  • Exhibit discretion with sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with diverse audiences across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience in handling Employee Practice Liability claims.
  • Experience with discrimination and wrongful termination claims.
  • Adjuster's License required.
  • NY License preferred or willingness to obtain additional licenses.
  • Juris Doctor or Bar membership is a plus.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels within an organization.
