Employment Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Employment Specialist is responsible for providing discovery, job research, job placement, and intermittent job maintenance services to individuals with barriers in the community.

In Short

• Provide individual assistance for interviews, resumes, and applications.
• Identify accommodations at work sites for individuals.
• Develop relationships with local employers and referral sources.
• Maintain communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Document participant progress and maintain records.
• Work remotely and in the community with participants.
• Uphold the mission and values of LOGAN.
• Participate in department and agency meetings.
• Must have a valid driver's license and provide transportation.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Education or related area preferred.
• Two years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to plan and organize work activities.
• Must provide documentation of auto insurance.
• Ability to lift/move individuals or materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain and provide documentation of training certifications.
