As an Employment Specialist at Aspire, you will empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their employment goals and thrive in inclusive work environments.

In Short

  • Support adults with disabilities in achieving community-based employment.
  • Collaborate with a team to prepare individuals for job placement.
  • Manage a caseload of job seekers and maintain case files.
  • Conduct assessments to match individuals with suitable jobs.
  • Document participant progress and provide ongoing job supports.
  • Assist in securing community employment and provide transitional coaching.
  • Market Aspire's employment services to potential employers.
  • Create adaptive supports as needed for job seekers.
  • Provide transportation training and assistance as necessary.
  • Participate in compliance and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of related work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact courteously.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain PACE certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
