In Short

  • Expand and cultivate existing accounts while establishing new ones to drive sales growth
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and conduct competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making
  • Analyze market segments to identify opportunities for growth and development
  • Strategically plan daily activities using CRM and a structured call frequency system to optimize sales opportunities
  • Conduct sales promotions, educational meetings, and lead generation activities to foster strong customer relationships
  • Recommend pricing changes within established guidelines based on market dynamics
  • Address customer complaints promptly and recommend solutions
  • Maintain thorough sales records, including customer profiles and territory/account sales records

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of proven direct sales experience, preferably in the building products industry
  • Thorough understanding of the building products industry and sales management experience
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills essential
  • General knowledge of major competitive brands within the industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high level of integrity
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and technologies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals
