Metal Building Field Service Technician - Remote

Overview

The Metal Building Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining customer relations and providing on-site support for post-shipment inquiries, ensuring timely responses and effective communication regarding technical issues.

• Provide on-site technical inspection, training, and assistance to customers.
• Make business decisions for approval of claims.
• Communicate and coordinate technical issues to support customer needs.
• Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues effectively.
• Produce analytical service reports regularly.
• Maintain customer relations through feedback and continuous improvement.
• Manage travel and expenses, with 80% travel required.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• 5 years of steel building erection experience preferred.
• 2 years of field service experience with pre-engineered metal buildings preferred.

Requirements

• Must be available for travel 80% of the time.
• Working knowledge of detailing standards required (ability to read blueprints).
• Previous steel building erection experience of 5 years preferred.
• Experience in field service for pre-engineered metal buildings for at least 2 years.
