Java Engineer for Trading Solutions - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and open-minded Java Engineer for trading solutions with Quarkus to join our client from the finance industry in Zurich.

In Short

• Develop scalable backend services using Java and AWS.
• Ensure quality and security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle.
• Write and review high-quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify and address existing technical debt.
• Respond to production incidents and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with platform engineers.
• Optimize application availability and resilience with SRE engineers.
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers.

Requirements

• Expertise in Java.
• Expertise in Quarkus.
• Experience with RDBMS, ideally Postgres.
• Working experience with Kafka.
• Ability to design robust REST APIs.
• Understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerization.
