Overview

The Food Safety Specialist (FSS) oversees integrity around food safety and quality assurance standards at CookUnity, ensuring compliance, regulatory enforcement, documentation accuracy, and training protocols.

In Short

• Cross-department collaboration with Food Safety, Culinary, Supply Chain, and Sales
• Monitor employee training on food safety and sanitation topics
• Data entry and monitoring for FSQS
• Work with external testing laboratories and licensing bodies
• Review and organize existing ingredient databases
• Oversee Nutrition Fact Panel generation
• Review hazard analysis and preventive controls
• Create testing methods for label validation
• Monitor food production and quality documentation
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations

Requirements

• Bachelors in Food Science with 3-5 years of experience
• Knowledge of US regulatory label and nutritional declaration requirements
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Good communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Ability to visit US as needed
