People Operations Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Operations Specialist to join our People team at Confluent! This role involves owning and enhancing critical HR processes that support our employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance and integrity of HR systems.

In Short

• Oversee and streamline core HR processes including contractor onboarding and internal transfers.
• Ensure accuracy of employee data through regular audits.
• Manage and approve employee data changes in Workday.
• Serve as the first escalation point for HR shared services support tickets.
• Oversee daily I-9 compliance and support escalations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficient workflows.
• Conduct regular audits of payroll processing and HR functions.
• Participate in Workday system testing and provide feedback.
• Contribute to key HR Enablement projects.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in HR administration.

Requirements

• Subject matter expertise with employee hire to retire process.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex inquiries.
• Experience with HR information systems, preferably Workday.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
