The Backend Engineer at College Board will play a key role in modernizing how student data is managed and protected. This fully remote position involves working with a cross-functional team to develop robust infrastructure solutions in AWS.

Key contributor in modernizing backend systems.
Develop application logic using Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Focus on quality and thorough testing of code.
Ability to travel 2-3 times a year.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
2-3 years of software development experience.
Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
Hands-on experience with databases and data modeling.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code principles.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Good communication and decision-making skills.
Experience in web application development.
Willingness to work on-call and after hours as needed.
Authorization to work in the USA.
