The RN Case Manager for the Emergency Department is responsible for providing utilization management and safe discharge planning for patients in need of care at entry points, focusing on patient-centered care and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid RN license in Florida.
  • Three years of RN experience, preferably in acute care or emergency settings.
  • Experience with medical necessity criteria and discharge planning.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
  • Knowledge of federal and state utilization review requirements is preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Certification of Case Management (CCM) preferred.
