The Medical Assistant in Radiation Oncology performs routine clinical and administrative duties to support the healthcare team and enhance patient care.

  • Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Provide education and resources to patients as needed.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient experience.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT program is preferred.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • No prior work experience is required, but patient care experience is a plus.
  • Critical thinking and effective communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform administrative duties such as data entry and scheduling.
  • Must be able to lift and carry patients when necessary.
  • Compliance with safety and health standards is mandatory.
