Overview

The Inpatient Coding Compliance Auditor is responsible for auditing coded inpatient or outpatient medical records, ensuring compliance with ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT-4 coding standards, and providing training and education based on audit results.

Requirements

  • Three years of inpatient or outpatient coding experience.
  • Certification as Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Effective communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
