Senior Compliance Coding Auditor - Inpatient - Remote

Overview

This fully remote position involves providing Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient coding, billing, and documentation auditing and education to the NUVANCE HEALTH network, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.

In Short

• Conduct high-volume coding compliance audits.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
• Provide guidance on proper coding and documentation practices.
• Develop and update training materials for staff.
• Communicate coding and billing regulations.
• Perform independent research on regulations and coding practices.
• Collaborate with coding department to identify errors and trends.
• Document and track compliance audits and corrective actions.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or five years of job-related experience in Compliance Auditing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient coding.
• Certification such as RHIT or CCS is required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines.
