Compliance Auditor - Remote

Overview

The Compliance Auditor performs internal compliance audits and supports external audits as necessary, reviewing records, reports, software, and related activities to ensure compliance with regulations.

In Short

• Perform regular and ad hoc billing and coding audits and analyses
• Prepare written reports of audit results with recommendations
• Work with audit tools in accordance with compliance policies
• Conduct auditing and monitoring activities
• Generate and maintain audit documentation and reports
• Communicate audit results to stakeholders
• Provide ongoing status reports to the team
• Create and update compliance reports and metrics
• Monitor compliance with audit recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting
• 5 years of compliance experience, including 3+ years in medical coding auditing
• Medical coding certificate required (CCS-P, CPC, or CPCA)
• Compliance certification preferred (CHC)
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas)
• Strong knowledge of compliance programs and systems
• Ability to prioritize work and exercise sound judgment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
