In Short

  • Perform inpatient coding audits and review services remotely.
  • Identify trends based on audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct research to support audit findings.
  • Provide education on coding trends to clients.
  • Assist in developing educational seminars and materials.
  • Collaborate on senior-level projects related to coding audits.
  • Be flexible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and skill in coding.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Utilize UASI audit software and adhere to HIPAA policies.

Requirements

  • RHIA, RHIT or CCS certification required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in inpatient audits and coding.
  • Strong research initiative and computer skills.
  • Ability to present audit findings impartially.
  • Ownership of responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
