Overview

The Coding Compliance Auditor is responsible for auditing hospital coding processes to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, focusing on accurate reimbursement and documentation.

• Audit hospital inpatient and outpatient coding for compliance and reimbursement.
• Serve as a clinical coding subject matter expert.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Formal ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4 training.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years coding experience in a Level 1 Trauma hospital.
• 2-3 years of ambulatory coding experience.
• Certification as CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CIC required.
