Coding Compliance Auditor - Remote

Overview

The Coding Compliance Auditor will audit hospital inpatient, ambulatory surgery, observation, and outpatient encounters to ensure appropriate reimbursement and compliance with regulations.

• Audit various hospital encounters for coding accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Formal training in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of coding experience at a Level 1 Trauma hospital.
• Certification such as CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CIC is required.
• 2-3 years of ambulatory coding experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer experience and typing ability.
