Medical Assistant, Oncology Clinics - Remote

Overview

The Medical Assistant II (MA II) provides clinical care and performs clerical duties to support office/clinic functions under the direction of a licensed clinician at UMass Memorial Health's Oncology Clinics.

In Short

• Part-time position with 24 scheduled hours.
• Day shift, 8 hours.
• Responsibilities include escorting patients, taking vital signs, and documenting health status.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• May administer non-intravenous injections as required.
• Assist in routine physical examinations and clinical procedures.
• Review and document laboratory results.
• Signing bonus available upon eligibility.
• Must obtain Medical Assistant credential within one year of hire.
• Workplace education and training provided.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Medical Assistant credential must be obtained within 1 year.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and patient care.
