Overview

The Medical Assistant (MA II) at UMass Memorial Health provides clinical care and performs clerical duties to support office and clinic functions under the direction of licensed clinicians.

In Short

• Full-time position with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
• Responsible for escorting patients and recording vital signs.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• May administer non-intravenous injections as required.
• Assists in routine physical examinations and clinical procedures.
• Reviews laboratory results and communicates abnormal findings.
• Requires a High School Diploma and BLS certification.
• Medical Assistant credential must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Eligible for a $3000 signing bonus.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health.
• Ability to perform clinical tasks and communicate effectively.
