About the Role

As a State Sales Director you will be directly responsible for cultivating relationships with key State and Local Government Agencies and closing large strategic deals within an assigned territory to meet or exceed your sales targets. Your ability to build deep and meaningful relationships within a state or local agency plays a critical role to meet your sales goals related to expanding access to ClassWallet's solution.

In Short

  • Develops and executes a strategic territory sales plan to engage leaders at the state and local agencies.
  • Manages/creates/expands new state and local sales opportunities in assigned territory.
  • Creates and closes opportunities to achieve assigned quota.
  • Manages/creates strong relationships with State and Local Agency organizations.
  • Educates and influences state and local agencies on upcoming RFPs.
  • Works as sales lead on executive summaries and win themes for all RFPs.
  • Represents ClassWallet at State/National events.
  • Partner with system integrators and technology companies.
  • Negotiate state level contracts and close agreements.
  • Accurately forecast sales pipeline in our CRM (HubSpot).

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the public sector.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed within the assigned territory.
  • Understanding of public funding and agency operations.
