Overview

The Claims Service Representative role involves providing immediate assistance to policyholders reporting insurance claims, ensuring timely and quality service through effective communication and coordination with vendors.

In Short

  • Provide customer-focused assistance for insurance claims.
  • Document loss details and ensure service-oriented disposition of calls.
  • Determine if adjuster attention is needed and coordinate accordingly.
  • Work in shifts on a rotating basis from 6AM to 12AM.
  • Full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week.
  • Remote work available after initial training in the office.
  • High-speed internet is required for remote work.
  • Preference for candidates with specific Insurance Institute courses completed.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Must be able to manage difficult customer situations effectively.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education.
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of the insurance/service industry is preferred.
  • Strong computer and telephone skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English and French.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
