Overview

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support licensing divisions and provide high-quality service to applicants.

In Short

• Review and process applications for DOHMH licenses.
• Perform clerical work including data processing and record maintenance.
• Check records for accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Handle payments and perform mathematical computations.
• Provide customer service in person and via phone.
• Assist applicants with interagency communication.
• Respond to calls, emails, and written correspondence.
• Attend seminars and training sessions.
• Complete all relevant licensing tasks as assigned.
• Follow all division and agency policies.

Requirements

• Four-year high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of satisfactory clerical experience.
• Keyboard familiarity with a minimum typing speed of 100 keystrokes per minute.
