Overview

The Human Capital Associate at the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection is responsible for supporting recruitment, onboarding, and personnel operations to attract and retain top talent.

In Short

• Collaborate with divisions to assess staffing needs and draft job postings.
• Post and monitor positions in internal and external job boards.
• Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
• Manage communications and onboarding for selected candidates.
• Coordinate new hire orientations for a smooth transition.
• Lead recruitment efforts for interns and non-civil service employees.
• Cultivate partnerships with schools and community organizations.
• Manage civil service appointment list processes.
• Provide training on civil service titles and required forms.
• Represent the agency at job fairs and career sessions.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Three years of experience in community work or related activities.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
