Customer Service Representative - Remote

Overview

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Clerical Associate to support licensing applicants by providing high-volume customer service and performing various clerical tasks.

In Short

• Perform ordinary mathematical computations while accepting and processing payments.
• Conduct routine data processing functions, maintaining accurate records.
• Provide high-volume customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone.
• Assist applicants with outreach to other city agencies.
• Answer telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence.
• Attend seminars, meetings, and/or trainings.
• Follow all division and agency policies and procedures.
• Perform all relevant and related Licensing tasks as assigned.
• Ensure accuracy of information and conformity with policies.
• Must have strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Requirements

• A four-year high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of satisfactory clerical experience.
• Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 keystrokes (20 words) per minute.
