Customer Service Representative - Remote

Overview

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Clerical Associate to provide high-volume customer service, assist with licensing applications, and perform clerical tasks.

In Short

• Provide customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone.
• Perform clerical work including data processing and record maintenance.
• Check records for accuracy and conformity with policies.
• Assist applicants with outreach to other city agencies.
• Answer telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence.
• Attend seminars, meetings, and trainings as required.
• Follow all division and agency policies and procedures.
• Perform mathematical computations while processing payments.
• Complete all relevant and related Licensing tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Four-year high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of satisfactory clerical experience.
• Keyboard familiarity with a minimum typing speed of 100 keystrokes (20 words) per minute.
