Overview

The NYC Department of Buildings Customer Service Operations Call Center seeks a Customer Service Representative to work in a vibrant Call Center environment and to assist in creating successful standards for the Department.

In Short

  • Provide customer support through incoming telephone calls.
  • Work closely with supervisors and directors to meet customer service standards.
  • Assist with performance targets and ensure timely responses.
  • Build knowledge from all DOB units to deliver effective service.
  • Troubleshoot system issues for external customers.
  • Update communication materials for clarity and effectiveness.
  • Participate in ongoing training to support new initiatives.
  • Maintain professionalism and rapport with customers.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures for customer experience.
  • Perform duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree and three years of relevant experience.
  • Associate degree with four years of relevant experience.
  • High school diploma with five years of relevant experience.
  • Must have at least one year of administrative or supervisory experience.
  • Education may substitute for experience under certain conditions.
