Senior Contracts Counsel - Remote

Overview

The Senior Contracts Counsel will play a pivotal role in supporting CPG’s dynamic and evolving operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative legal team to work on a broad range of complex and sensitive legal and business issues.

In Short

• Serve as legal counsel for commercial and corporate contracts.
• Manage the vendor contracting cycle from draft to execution.
• Design and implement contract and vendor management strategies.
• Develop standard vendor contract templates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on legal and business risks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
• Leverage outside counsel specialists as needed.
• Manage the contract life cycle management platform.
• Regular in-person interaction required for collaboration.
• Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school required.
• Active license to practice law in New York.
• Experience with U.S. data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, CCPA).
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Strong business judgment and integrity.
• Experience in SaaS/data technology and commercial contracts.
• Familiarity with publishing agreements is a plus.
