Clinical Coding Educator (RN/LVN) - Remote

Overview

The Clinical Coding Educator (RN/LVN) will act as the clinical coding subject matter expert, providing education and resources to providers on clinical coding standards within the Risk Adjustment Department.

• Act as a clinical coding subject matter expert.
• Provide education to providers on clinical coding standards.
• Coordinate and lead the Alliance Coding Workgroup.
• Support the development and implementation of clinical documentation improvement programs.
• Communicate complex coding concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ensure accurate coding and appropriate reimbursement.
• Conduct research and present findings clearly.
• Lead meetings and facilitate workgroups.
• Work in a hybrid environment with some remote work.
• Attend quarterly company-wide events or department meetings.

Requirements

• Current RN or LVN license in California.
• Certification as RHIA and CCS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in clinical coding.
• 3+ years of clinical experience.
• 5+ years of CDI experience.
• Strong attention to detail and auditing practices.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional workgroups.
