Overview

The E-Referral Specialist is an integral part of the referral process, responsible for data collection, documentation, compliance, and consistent follow-up on referrals to promote continuity of care.

In Short

• Full-time position (40 hours/week)
• Initial contact point for clients or referral sources
• Monitor e-referral systems for new referrals
• Manage communication and follow-ups regarding referrals
• Assist with authorizations and ensure timely submissions
• Maintain logs and report on referral statuses
• Comply with regulatory standards and company policies
• Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Occasional travel to offices for training or meetings
• Requires strong customer service skills

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
• Healthcare insurance verification experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of customer service or healthcare-related experience
• Knowledge of home health services and Medicare guidelines preferred
• Ability to type 40 wpm
• Strong logical thinking and decision-making skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
• Good attendance record
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
