Director of Medical Coding - Remote

Overview

The Director, Medical Coding extracts clinical information from medical records and assigns procedural terminology and medical codes to patient records, driving efficiency and effectiveness across divisional teams.

• Oversee coding operations and performance management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years in program management or healthcare operations.
• 5 years of people leadership experience.
• Certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC.
• Experience in MS-DRG or APR auditing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• High emotional intelligence.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 20% nationally.
• Strong understanding of coding standards and compliance.
