Overview

The Vice President of Business Development will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing IT solution deals in the federal market while developing meaningful relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

In Short

  • Monitor government agency procurement information for potential opportunities.
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Initiate the sales process by building relationships and qualifying opportunities.
  • Develop targeted client relationships and establish teaming arrangements.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and business capture plans.
  • Support the proposal process by contributing content and preparing cost estimates.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
  • Assist the Growth team to manage the overall Business Development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of successful federal government growth experience.
  • Preferred college degree (4-year degree or higher).
  • Experience in federal BD including lead generation and pipeline management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Established networks in the public-sector community.
  • Knowledge of Federal Government contracting processes.
