Overview

The Head of Service will oversee the strategic and operational delivery of Victim Services, ensuring impactful outcomes for victims and witnesses while managing staff performance and service development.

In Short

  • Deliver strategic oversight for Victim Services.
  • Manage and performance-manage Senior Case Workers.
  • Oversee service budgets and financial reporting.
  • Implement operational and safeguarding procedures.
  • Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop partnerships with criminal justice and health agencies.
  • Represent the service at strategic forums.
  • Ensure effective monitoring and data recording systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation in victim services.

Requirements

  • Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Recognized management qualification or willingness to pursue one.
  • Experience managing staff in victim and witness support.
  • Experience with high-risk, socially excluded individuals.
  • Skills in risk assessment and communication.
  • Experience with case management systems.
  • Financial management skills including budget oversight.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
