Overview

We are looking for a Freelance Business Developer to build a strong seller lead pipeline in Japan, for Catawiki’s Collectables business unit. You will identify, contact and convince sellers to offer quality objects via our platform with a specific focus on Collectables (Asian Art, Cameras, Trading Cards, Toys, etc.), and provide prospects with a great onboarding experience.

In Short

  • Identify, qualify and develop leads through various methods.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with new sellers.
  • Facilitate a frictionless pre and post-sales experience.
  • Reactivate high potential dormant sellers.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to develop growth plans.
  • Travel regularly within Japan to meet leads and sellers.
  • Utilize data and sales tools for lead qualification.
  • Passionate about the online industry and collectibles.
  • Fluent in Japanese and business proficiency in English.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools is a plus.

Requirements

  • Sales mindset with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a data-driven approach.
  • Familiarity with G Suite tools.
  • Ability to establish and nurture relationships.
  • Open to regular travel within Japan.
  • Experience in business development or sales.
  • Understanding of the collectibles market.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Based in Japan.
