Overview

The Patient Access Liaison (PAL) is a regional, field-based position that provides clinical disease state education and product education to patients and their families for our rare disease portfolio of products, oftentimes in the patient’s home. This patient facing individual will work closely with patients, families, physicians and other office staff to prevent and address barriers to access and help insure optimal understanding for Catalyst’s medicines.

In Short

  • Educate patients and families on disease and medication.
  • Provide education on reimbursement and insurance protocols.
  • Coordinate communication among stakeholders.
  • Advise on access and affordability programs.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve access issues.
  • Document interactions with patients in the Patient Portal.
  • Maintain ongoing contact to address unmet needs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Must have a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly recommended.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in the Pharma/Biotech industry.
  • Prior experience as a Field Reimbursement Manager preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with patients.
  • Strong compliance mindset and ethics.
  • Technical experience in rare disease access or reimbursement.
  • High comfort level working with patients and families.
  • Ability to identify access solutions independently.
  • Work cross-functionally with external HUBs.
  • Experience in Patient Services Department strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively with external customers.
