Overview

The Patient Access Liaison (PAL) is a regional, field-based position that provides clinical disease state education and product education to patients and their families for our rare disease portfolio of products, oftentimes in the patient’s home. This patient facing individual will work closely with patients, families, physicians and other office staff to prevent and address barriers to access and help ensure optimal understanding for Catalyst’s medicines.

In Short

  • Educate patients and families on disease and medication.
  • Provide education on reimbursement and insurance protocols.
  • Coordinate communication among stakeholders for patient support.
  • Advise on access and affordability programs.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve access issues.
  • Document interactions accurately in the Patient Portal.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with patients for support.
  • Travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Must have a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in Pharma/Biotech industry.
  • Prior experience as a Field Reimbursement Manager.
  • Experience in Patient Services Department preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Technical experience in rare disease access or reimbursement.
  • Willingness to travel and live near a commercial airline HUB.
