Legal Counsel (General In-House) - Remote

Overview

This is your opportunity to join as a Legal Counsel on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will become a trusted advisor to all areas of the business to assist with achieving carsales vision and business plan while minimising risk.

In Short

• Review, negotiate and draft a broad range of commercial contracts and website terms.
• Advise the business in relation to privacy, consumer protection, trade practices and competition law issues.
• Assist with M&A activity.
• Collaborate and support relevant stakeholders in managing legal disputes.
• Assist with event sponsorships, trade promotions and marketing collateral.

Requirements

• Demonstrated inclusive and interpersonal attributes.
• Unrestricted Australian practising certificate.
• Demonstrated experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
