Overview

This is an opportunity for a Linux Engineer/Administrator with a passion for Linux and Customer Success to build a career with Canonical and support the technical needs of customers leveraging Ubuntu and open source products.

In Short

  • Provide technical support for employees from a remote home office.
  • Take ownership of new cases via telephone, email, and web.
  • Act as an internal customer advocate.
  • Ensure support cases are handled according to SLA.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles.
  • Draft and distribute technical notices.
  • Prioritize work effectively.
  • Keep learning about new products and services.
  • Understand Ubuntu development processes.
  • Maintain communication with the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience with system performance troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Linux troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Linux integration with other environments.
  • Experience with Linux server administration.
  • Programming fundamentals in any language.
  • Ability to learn quickly and handle customer pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year.
