Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.

• Collaborating proactively within a distributed team

• Playing a role in shaping the future of Ubuntu via new ideas and advising on work being done elsewhere
• Collaborating with other teams in the Ubuntu and Debian communities
• Debugging issues on open source code
• Helping customers integrate their apps with Ubuntu
• Maintaining Ubuntu, silicon features, and silicon-optimized packages
• Working with various technologies including AI, graphics, audio, and security
• Work from home with global travel 2 to 4 weeks for internal events

Requirements

• Exceptional academic track record
• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject
• Strong fundamentals in C, C++, and Python
• Experience or interest in Linux distribution packaging
• Experience or interest in open source maintenance
• Fundamental understanding of package management
• Curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable
• Passionate about technology and building partnerships
• Strong soft skills
• Experience with hardware enablement and performance optimization is a plus
