Overview

The Medical Assistant II (MA II) at UMass Memorial Health provides clinical care and performs clerical duties to support office and clinic functions, ensuring exceptional patient care.

In Short

• Full-time position with a day shift schedule.
• Provides clinical care under the direction of licensed clinicians.
• Records vital signs and patient health status.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• May administer non-intravenous injections as required.
• Assists in routine physical examinations and clinical procedures.
• Reviews and documents laboratory results.
• Requires BLS certification and Medical Assistant credential.
• Workplace education and training provided.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by Massachusetts.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
• Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
