Medical Assistant, Family Medicine - Remote

Overview

The Medical Assistant will support healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers, ensuring a compassionate and effective patient care experience.

In Short

• Full-time position, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
• Support healthcare teams with clinical and non-clinical tasks.
• Take vital signs and document patient information.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Directly interact with patients to ensure comfort and address concerns.
• Assist junior Medical Assistants and facilitate their learning.
• Perform general office duties and act as a liaison with other departments.
• Collect laboratory specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Provide immunizations as applicable.
• Comply with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of direct Medical Assistant experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in busy environments.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and medical office software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
