Overview

The Medical Assistant will support the operations of a community-based physician practice, ensuring smooth patient flow and assisting in patient examinations and treatments.

In Short

  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
  • Onsite work at 137 Main Street, Medford, Massachusetts.
  • Support patient care operations in a team-oriented environment.
  • Assist with examinations and treatments under physician supervision.
  • Work closely with assigned providers and rotate occasionally.
  • Strong emphasis on interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and medical office software.
  • Must have Basic Life Support certification.
  • Direct experience in medical assistance preferred.
  • Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • No experience substitution for degree accepted.
  • Basic Life Support certification preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
  • 0-1 year of direct Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in busy environments.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and protocols.
  • Ability to take vital signs and collect specimens.
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills.
