Overview

The Clinical Revenue Integrity Manager will oversee the charge capture team and ensure compliance with clinical documentation and charge entry processes at Keck Medical Center of USC.

In Short

  • Manage the charge capture team and ensure compliance with charge capture policies.
  • Communicate and resolve issues related to clinical documentation and charge entry.
  • Conduct meetings to evaluate and improve charge processes.
  • Coordinate with various departments on technology projects impacting charge capture.
  • Provide training and support to the revenue auditor team.
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations regarding charge capture.
  • Perform maintenance on the Charge Description Master (CDM).
  • Lead initiatives to enhance revenue integrity and charge capture.
  • Supervise and mentor team members in charge entry processes.
  • Generate reports and analyze data related to charge capture and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • 5 years of experience in medical coding or Chargemaster in a healthcare environment.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billing requirements.
  • Experience with coding principles (CPT, HCPCS, ICD9).
  • Licenses: RN or coding certification (AHIMA or AAPC).
  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Experience with CDM Maintenance software preferred.
