HIE Specialist - Remote

Overview

Brault is a practice management, billing and coding company exclusively serving acute care independent physician practices. We are currently looking for an experienced, proactive, resourceful, detailed oriented HIE Specialist with working knowledge of HIE processes.

In Short

• Monitors the Patient Account Tracking (PAT) system for assigned datasets.
• Remotely access hospital systems to retrieve necessary chart documents.
• Facilitates record completion by sending provider incomplete chart notifications.
• Maintains Shortage Lists ensuring accounts are not older than 60 days.
• Updates the Brault Patient Account Tracking (PAT) system daily.
• Ensures all documentation is received for monthly close at a 98% capture rate.
• Communicates effectively with off-site chart coordinators and departments.
• Escalates customer issues in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates a team approach through cooperative interactions.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
• Thorough knowledge of healthcare billing operations.
• General knowledge of Hospital Medical Record and IT services.
• Proactive, resourceful, and imaginative in problem solving.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with EMR systems like EPIC, Meditech, Cerner, etc.
• Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes quickly.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines.
