Paralegal - Remote

Overview

This position provides support and assistance to the General Counsel by reviewing cases, complaints and summons, assisting in all phases of preparation to file litigation/arbitration for independent dispute resolution process, and organizing, reviewing, and handling various legal correspondence.

• Assist in all phases of preparation to file litigation/arbitration.
• Organize, review and handle various legal correspondence.
• Prepare, edit, and proofread documents for accuracy.
• Work with other departments on legal and compliance matters.
• Coordinate responses to inquiries from the Director of Compliance.
• Draft briefs, motions and discovery templates.
• Review patient complaints and disseminate appropriately.
• Investigate patient complaint issues requiring legal response.

Requirements

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to maintain and handle confidential information.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of No Surprises Act Independent Resolution Process preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years as a Paralegal.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
