Head of Legal & Compliance - Remote

Overview

The Head of Legal & Compliance serves as the legal advisor to Blockdaemon, overseeing all global legal, regulatory, and compliance matters and managing the legal function. The role works closely with the executive leadership team and board to guide the company through the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape surrounding blockchain, cryptocurrency, and decentralized finance (DeFi).

• Provide proactive legal counsel to the executive team on all operational matters.
• Oversee global compliance with laws and regulations related to blockchain and digital assets.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements including partnership and vendor contracts.
• Develop and implement legal and compliance risk management strategies.

• Manage and coordinate litigation and legal claims.

Requirements

• 10+ years of legal experience, ideally in technology or blockchain.
• Experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts.
• In-depth understanding of blockchain technology and its legal implications.
• Hands-on experience with equity administration.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to blockchain.
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
• Expertise in risk management strategies.
• Strong business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills.
