Payroll Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Payroll Specialist handles all aspects related to paying employees in the organization as well as assisting with equity administration and accounting monthly close duties.

In Short

• Process payroll in a multi-state corporate environment.
• Ensure accuracy in processing federal, state, and local taxes.
• Provide excellent customer service for payroll-related inquiries.
• Process and communicate garnishment information.
• Work with third-party service providers for legal compliance.
• Coordinate with legal team for new state registrations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Conduct ad hoc reporting related to payroll.
• Manage W-2 and yearly activities.
• Assist with equity administration responsibilities.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of payroll and AP experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with semi-monthly payroll for large organizations.
• Thorough understanding of payroll rules and regulations.
• Workday experience preferred.
• International payroll experience a plus.
• Equity compensation experience a plus.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
