Overview

We’re looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Sales team. You’ll be the first human touchpoint for many of our prospects, helping event teams discover better ways to plan, run, and analyze their events on Salesforce.

In Short

  • Run targeted outbound prospecting campaigns to engage potential customers in the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Qualify inbound interest and nurture leads through personalized, data-informed outreach.
  • Schedule discovery calls and demos for Account Executives.
  • Use a modern sales stack, including Nooks, Apollo, ChatGPT, and Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Leadership to refine messaging and improve conversion rates.
  • Learn about event management challenges and communicate how Blackthorn’s platform helps solve them.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in a sales or prospecting role.
  • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and sending personalized outreach messages.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple leads and priorities.
  • Curious, self-motivated, and eager to learn about sales, technology, and customer engagement.
  • Experience with tools like Slack, Google Suite, Salesforce, Apollo, Nooks, ChatGPT.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Salesforce-native apps or event management technology.
