Directing Attorney, Generalist Services for Specialty Populations - Remote

Overview

In celebration of 50 years of providing high-quality, free legal services to Los Angeles’ most vulnerable residents, Bet Tzedek seeks a Directing Attorney to build on our legacy of innovation in the community. The Directing Attorney: Generalist Services for Specialty Populations will manage a diverse range of attorneys, support staff, and volunteers, and be primarily responsible for supervising teams’ day-to-day work at area senior centers, the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (“Harbor”), and with Holocaust survivors wherever they may be.

• Manage a diverse range of attorneys and support staff.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in California.
• At least three years of experience managing individuals.
• Two years of active practice of law in California.
• Significant experience in elder law or civil legal services.
• Excellent people skills and emotional intelligence.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
• Experience in grant-writing and compliance preferred.
• Understanding of Bet Tzedek’s mission and values.
