Overview

The Loss Control Specialist will provide consultative support to policyholders aimed at reducing workplace accidents and losses by evaluating environments, providing training, and developing loss reduction strategies.

In Short

  • Provide consultative support to policyholders in an assigned territory.
  • Visit worksites to observe and evaluate risks.
  • Write follow-up reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in identifying objectives to improve safety and loss control.
  • Serve as a resource for underwriters and brokers.
  • Develop and participate in presentations for clients and vendors.
  • Review underwriting requests for loss control services.
  • Perform special assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2-4 years of experience in loss control or safety services.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to travel.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
