Overview

The Senior Loss Control Specialist provides expert risk management solutions and loss control services to current and prospective policyholders, identifying potential hazards and risks within the workplace, assessing the insured's safety protocols and procedures, and implementing effective strategies to minimize accidents or injuries and mitigate subsequent workers' compensation claims.

In Short

  • Manages assigned book of business within a given territory.
  • Schedules and completes onsite visits, evaluating workplace environments.
  • Monitors policyholder loss activity and develops strategies for loss reduction.
  • Provides consultative and training services to support risk mitigation objectives.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and training resource.
  • Maintains professional designations and certifications.
  • Participates in departmental initiatives and special assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Valid Driver’s License and relevant certifications (CSP, CIH, etc.).
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in loss control or safety services.
  • Experience in developing and auditing safety management systems.
  • Expert knowledge of OSH Regulations and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
